Work Environment

The position is based onsite in our bustling outpatient office setting, working alongside a close-knit team of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a stable work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to identify objectives and requirements for their rehabilitation.
• Effectively manage a caseload of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring each receives high-quality, individualized care.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance patients' mobility and function.
• Employ cost-effective treatment strategies that aim to minimize reliance on medications and prevent the need for surgical interventions.
• Motivate and inspire patients throughout their rehabilitation, providing the guidance and support they require to optimize their functional abilities.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, documenting and adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nutritionists, to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Promote patient engagement in fitness and wellness programs tailored to their recovery goals, focusing on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to maintain accurate patient records and streamline workflow.

At Lakeportside Mind Rehab & Wellness Center, we primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions. Our clients range from active individuals seeking to restore functional movement to older adults focused on maintaining mobility and independence. The diversity in our patient population allows staff to gain experience with a wide variety of rehabilitation scenarios and treatment methods, fostering an enriched learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Demonstrated knowledge in manual therapy techniques and skilled in developing tailored exercise regimens based on individual needs.
• Proficient in using EMR software and related technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, ideally with a focus on rehabilitation for post-surgical patients.
• Experience with evidence-based practices and personalized treatment methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with team members.

Compensation and Benefits
