Work Environment

This role allows for a flexible work arrangement with remote capabilities. When interacting with clients, our therapists benefit from utilizing advanced telehealth technologies that cater to the modern landscape of mental health service delivery. The typical workweek extends from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis. The hybrid model ensures that our therapists maintain a work-life balance while meeting the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments that evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, documenting the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms with accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with clients to design personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and mental health needs.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective interventions for clients with mood disorders.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment pathways, and self-care techniques to foster understanding and support recovery.
• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progression throughout the therapy process, adapting treatment plans responsively to optimize outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing communication with psychiatrists and fellow medical professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
• Stay current with the latest research in mood disorders to integrate new insights into therapeutic practices.
• Maintain precise and confidential records of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions to enhance clinical knowledge and skills, especially in mood disorder management.
• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders, thereby helping to de-stigmatize mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily centers on clients facing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our patient population is diverse, reflecting a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and experiences. As a vital team member, you'll work to build trust and rapport, ensuring that each client feels seen, heard, and understood as you guide them on their path to recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is essential.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorder treatment.
• Proven proficiency in widely recognized treatment methodologies, particularly CBT and DBT, is highly preferred.
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the collaboration necessary with psychiatric professionals.
• An established track record demonstrating the ability to achieve positive client outcomes in treating mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication skills are crucial, along with the ability to connect with clients from various walks of life.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in managing mood disorders in outpatient settings, particularly those who have effective collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, will be given preference. Experience with using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation will also be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, with annual compensation between USD 80,000 and 100,000, in addition to attractive performance bonuses and a sign-on bonus for the right candidate.
