In this role, you will provide crucial psychosocial mental and behavioral health therapy to individuals facing significant challenges, including those living with cancer. Your clinical expertise will guide patients through their mental health journey as you help them navigate diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life issues.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to individuals’ unique needs.

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health conditions, developing and documenting personalized treatment plans that integrate both traditional and innovative approaches.

• Offer a variety of therapeutic sessions—both in-person (when applicable) and remote—counseling individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in mental health treatments and methodologies.

• Maintain meticulous confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines, ensuring a trusted environment for clients.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, creating a comprehensive care plan that supports clients' overall well-being.

• Document all therapy sessions accurately, outlining treatment plans, session notes, and client progress.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to provide insight into client care.
\n
• Adapt therapy approaches based on individual client feedback and treatment outcomes.

• Perform additional duties as required to support the needs of the organization and clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with cancer patients and their caregivers, addressing the psychological impact of chronic illness. This involves providing support through their journey, including diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life decisions. Understanding the unique emotional landscape faced by this demographic is crucial, as you will guide them with empathy and understanding while employing effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline.

• Valid Social Work License (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) as required by state regulations.

• Proven ability to connect and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary mental health team.

• Exceptional communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly while actively listening to clients’ concerns.

• No history of medical malpractice claims, with verification through a third party.
\n
• Authorized to work in the United States.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with cancer care and related mental health challenges.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and client management.

• Previous work in outpatient settings, especially in a remote capacity.

Compensation and Benefits\n
