Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the physical capabilities of patients, identifying specific therapy goals tailored to individual needs.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing further physical decline.
• Deliver hands-on therapy, applying a variety of techniques, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility interventions.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their caregivers about safe mobility techniques and home exercise programs to enhance recovery.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for all patients.
• Maintain precise documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with all regulations and facility standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population at our facility consists of individuals recovering from acute injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. Our targeted approach allows us to address the specific needs of patients across various age groups, from post-operative care to geriatric rehabilitation. As a Physical Therapist at our clinic, you will play a pivotal role in empowering these individuals to reclaim their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited program, with a valid Physical Therapy license in the State of New York.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Physical Therapy Practice Act for New York and adherence to the Code of Ethics from the American Physical Therapy Association.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably including acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient environments.
• Experience implementing individualized rehabilitation plans and conducting outcome assessments.
• Strong collaborative skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience, along with an attractive benefits package.
