Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized assessment tools.

• Collaborate with clients to create and implement individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Employ evidence-based treatment techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate positive change and coping strategies.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices to enhance their understanding and manage expectations.

• Monitor client progress through regular follow-up sessions and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated care for clients with complex needs, coordinating efforts to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Stay informed about current trends and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continually refine and improve therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous education opportunities to further professional development.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and promote destigmatization of mental health issues within the community.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
