Trionetics, Inc. designs and builds custom industrial water purification and wastewater treatment systems in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio. Small manufacturer. Project-based work. QuickBooks is the accounting system.

Job summary

We need a detail-oriented bookkeeper who will own the books and keep the item list clean. Day to day this is QuickBooks, AP/AR, reconciliations, and vendor bills. The same person also enters purchases, chases long-lead orders, and works next to a project manager so nothing sits untracked.

This is not a controller role and not a CPA role. It is accurate books, clean items, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Enter and code bills, invoices, deposits, and payments in QuickBooks
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts
• Keep vendor and customer records current
• Maintain a clean item list: one internal item per part, no duplicate vendor part numbers
• Enter POs and receipts; flag one-off buys vs repeat items
• Chase open POs and long-lead items; report dates to the project manager
• Support job costing so material hits the right project
• Prepare simple reports (open AP, open POs, cash, job costs)
• Follow company process. If a process is wrong, improve it — do not skip it

Requirements

• 2+ years bookkeeping in QuickBooks (desktop or Online)
• Comfortable with AP, AR, bank recs, and vendor bills
• Accurate, organized, and willing to own messy item lists
• Able to work on-site with purchasing and the shop
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing, job-shop, or construction job-costing
• Purchasing or expediting experience
• Excel (lookups, filters, clean data)
• QuickBooks item / inventory setup
