Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments of children and adolescents to accurately evaluate their needs, behavioral concerns, and emotional well-being.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique developmental stages of young clients, incorporating input from their families to create supportive interventions.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to provide effective treatment for a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers with tools to foster a nurturing environment and improve family dynamics.

• Coordinate care by collaborating closely with child psychiatrists and other specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to each child’s treatment.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies to safeguard the well-being of our clients.

• Engage in patient and family education regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, and local community resources that can support their journey.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring all patient information is securely stored.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to stay current with best practices.

• Remain informed about recent research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with children and adolescents between the ages of 5 and 18, addressing a variety of psychological and behavioral disorders that may impact their social, emotional, and academic development. Our practice focuses on understanding the unique needs of each client and providing them with safe spaces designed to foster healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is strongly preferred, especially in child and adolescent therapy.

• A deep understanding of the mental health challenges specific to the child and adolescent population, along with familiarity with effective treatment methodologies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate demeanor with clients and families.
\n
• A proven ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients, ensuring a safe therapeutic space.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, emphasizing accurate documentation and ease of information access.

• A collaboration-oriented mindset, thriving in team-based environments.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
