Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to engage with clients from a comfortable setting while being part of a dynamic psychiatric office. Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing standardized screening tools and clinical interviews.

• Formulate and implement personalized treatment plans that respect developmental stages, cultural considerations, and family contexts.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address diagnosed conditions.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers, fostering a nurturing atmosphere at home.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support, developing safety plans and mobilizing resources for mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and community support systems.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position centers on providing mental health services to children and adolescents facing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. The therapist will engage with both young patients and their families, addressing their needs holistically and ensuring that each treatment plan is tailored to the unique dynamics and situations of the family unit.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
