This full-time position allows for remote work while primarily serving clients through an outpatient office setting in Riverside, California. Work Environment\n

This role operates in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a connection to our outpatient office in Riverside. Our facility is equipped with the latest telehealth technology, enabling therapists to maintain effective communication with clients and their families. The practice operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify and evaluate the specific needs of children and adolescents during initial intake sessions.

• Formulate and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that are developmentally appropriate and take into account family dynamics and external factors impacting the young clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address various mental health conditions.
\n
• Facilitate family therapy sessions, effectively involving parents and guardians to foster a supportive home environment for the child or adolescent.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic and integrated care strategies are in place for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of young clients.
\n
• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health challenges, available treatment options, and community resources to enhance understanding and support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and records management in adherence with legal guidelines and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in regular team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with children and adolescents facing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral challenges. Delivering care in a culturally sensitive manner is essential, as we strive to create a welcoming environment for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health diagnoses, therapeutic modalities, and best practices in treatment.

• Experience providing both individual and family therapy, particularly to children and adolescents.
\n
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, paired with a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• A proven ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with young clients and their families.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency with relevant computer applications.

• A collaborative spirit, comfortable working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A background in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or behavioral health programming is a plus.

• Experience with telehealth services and virtual therapy sessions is preferred, adapting to our remote care model.
