Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage actively in clinical consultations and contribute to multidisciplinary learning environments that promote professional development and peer collaboration.

• Ensure the completion and accuracy of clinical documentation required for each client, maintaining high standards that meet regulatory and organizational guidelines.
\n
• Provide direct mental health services including thorough behavioral health assessments, tailored counseling sessions, and effective case management supportive of client goals.
\n
• Work collaboratively with a prenatal care team comprising medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants to deliver comprehensive and integrated care tailored to the unique needs of birthing families.

• Co-facilitate childbirth education and/or postpartum peer support groups, creating a safe and supportive environment for sharing experiences and learning.
\n
• Participate in community engagement activities focused on holistic wellness, promoting a culture of support and solidarity among birthing individuals and families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is to serve Black birthing families, a community that often faces unique challenges related to mental health and healthcare access. Our initiatives aim to create a safe space where individuals can share their experiences, receive tailored support, and build resilience through community connections.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences (e.g., Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy) from an accredited institution is required.

• Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is essential for this role.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage effectively with diverse, multicultural teams and clientele.

• A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and efficiently, asking for assistance and support when necessary.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within a community health framework, particularly with populations of color, is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with collaborative care models and integration of mental health services within primary care settings.

• Experience facilitating groups, particularly in childbirth education or peer support contexts.

Compensation and Benefits\n
