Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, including their intensity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate with clients to design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote positive behavioral changes.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them with the knowledge to manage their conditions effectively.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed based on client feedback and emerging research.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments, participating in ongoing training and professional development activities.

• Maintain confidentiality and secure records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the utmost respect for client privacy.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and peer supervision, contributing to a collaborative treatment approach.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and engage in efforts to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Many of our clients come from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable populations such as refugees, the homeless, and survivors of domestic violence. As an LMFT, you will make a significant, positive impact on their mental health, guiding them toward recovery and resilience.
