Take your skills as a paraprofessional to the next level in a dynamic educational environment through this contract opportunity supporting students in Wilmington, Delaware. This role involves working directly in school settings, where your dedication and expertise make a real impact every day.

Two paraprofessional openings are available:

  • One position offers full-year support for a medical leave, with a preference for male candidates due to the specific caseload requirements.
  • The other position provides essential support in the STRIVE program, designed for students with significant emotional needs—therapeutic support experience is especially valued.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current and valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required (no pending or in-process permits); applicants must attach a copy or a screenshot from the DEEDS portal
  • Proven experience in paraprofessional roles within school environments
  • For STRIVE program, a background working with students in therapeutic settings is highly regarded
  • Candidates must be prepared to pay the $85 CBC fingerprinting fee
  • Ability to provide all required documentation as specified for consideration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one or small group support, assisting students throughout the school day
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and support staff to implement educational and behavioral strategies
  • Support students with individualized needs—ranging from academic assistance to emotional and behavioral regulation
  • Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment for all
