This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled, reliable individual ready to assist students and staff from now through June 2027. In this onsite role, you'll work collaboratively with educators and specialists, offering essential support throughout the school week.

Desired Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit (permit must be in hand; candidates with pending permits must provide a DEEDS portal screenshot)
• Experience supporting students in a school setting preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and communicate effectively
• Must be willing and able to cover own $85 CBC fingerprinting fee as required
• Male candidates preferred due to specific caseload needs
• If certified as an RBT, please note supervision requirements must be met outside of school hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in daily instructional and non-instructional activities
• Support the learning and behavioral needs of assigned student(s)
• Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment
• Supervise and engage students during classroom and non-classroom activities
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents as needed
• Implement individualized strategies as outlined by educational teams or specialists

This full-time contract role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch daily. The position centers around providing one-on-one support throughout a full year medical leave at the elementary level, offering stability and opportunity to grow in your paraprofessional skills.
