Essential Qualifications:

• Hold an active Delaware Paraeducator Permit; applications in progress are not accepted. If the permit is pending, a screenshot of the DEEDS portal status is required.
• Experience providing direct adult support within an educational setting, preferably at the elementary level.
• Ability to pass CBC fingerprinting (fee applies—please verify candidate acknowledgment).
• Strong interpersonal skills for nurturing student relationships and collaborating with educators.
• Reliability and professionalism for daily, on-site support with a consistent weekday schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly with assigned students to provide academic and behavioral support under the direction of certified staff.
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and ensure student safety throughout the school day.
• Foster a positive, inclusive climate to help students achieve individualized goals.
• Maintain documentation as required by school procedures and contribute to team discussions on student progress.
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers to implement appropriate strategies and accommodations.
• Adhere to district policies regarding confidentiality, supervision, and ethical standards.
