Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment options.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the specific needs of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to help clients process their trauma.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in the development of coping strategies and promoting a healing environment.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care, ensuring holistic support for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and community resources for additional support.

• Maintain detailed, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, contributing to seamless patient care.

• Participate in case meetings and professional development, continuously updating knowledge on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Vitality Wellness, you will work primarily with individuals who have been significantly impacted by various forms of trauma. This includes survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other distressing life events. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding these clients through their healing journeys, helping them navigate the complexities of their trauma responses while fostering resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating clinical proficiency and a commitment to mental health care.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Capacity to remain calm under pressure, particularly in crisis situations.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital communication tools.

Preferred Experience\n

In addition to the required qualifications, candidates with specialized training in trauma therapies or certifications in advanced mental health methodologies will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits\n
