Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify the nuances of patients’ trauma histories and determine the most effective treatment strategies.

• Craft and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the establishment of protective factors.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their experiences, learn coping strategies, and connect with others in similar situations.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to promote seamless, integrated care for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention support, equipped to assist patients during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and relevant resources to foster understanding and healing.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation adhering to all legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with mental health policies.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling or related fields.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
