Work Environment\n

As a remote position, this role allows you to conduct therapy sessions through a telehealth platform, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for both you and your clients. You will primarily work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of slight scheduling adjustments based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a licensed mental health counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to identify each patient’s specific trauma history and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building, utilizing data-driven methodologies.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients in their healing journey.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at assisting clients in processing trauma, developing efficient coping strategies, and fostering emotional healing.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and inter-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for all patients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and emotional support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms while guiding them towards available resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records to comply with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in case consultations, contribute to team discussions, and actively participate in professional development initiatives relevant to trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves diverse populations, primarily focusing on individuals who have experienced trauma. Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed care practices, and resilience-oriented treatment approaches.

• Proficiency in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and non-judgmental engagement.

• A calm demeanor and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.

• The capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is expected, candidates with greater expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies will be given preference. Previous experience in outpatient mental health settings or with crisis intervention is also highly advantageous.
