Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students, addressing their health-related concerns, including mental health and substance abuse issues.

• Provide immediate crisis counseling for students in emotional distress, performing timely interventions and assessments to ensure their safety and well-being.
\n
• Process and respond to student support referrals through the Maxient system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
\n
• Develop and manage confidential patient records adhering to state and federal regulations, ensuring compliance with best practices in mental health documentation.
\n
• Deliver training sessions and outreach initiatives on mental health insights for students, faculty, and staff, promoting awareness and the importance of mental wellness.
\n
• Consult with students, faculty, and staff regarding mental health concerns, advising on best practices for supporting students in psychological distress.
\n
• Plan, implement, and facilitate mental health services tailored to student needs, fostering academic success and retention through wellness programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on supporting students dealing with a variety of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to substance abuse. You will play a crucial role in helping them overcome these challenges, promoting personal growth and academic success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• Current state licensure as LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or LMFT is mandatory. Note that we are unable to accept associates license holders at this time.

• Strong proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
\n
• Exceptional organizational skills with a capability to handle multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-motivated and able to independently manage time and responsibilities effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred but not required.
\n
• Previous experience in crisis counseling and mental health assessments is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
