Work Environment\n

This role allows you to work in a fully remote setting, promoting a flexible work-life balance. Your regular workweek will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients to assess their mental health needs and formulate customized treatment plans that address their specific challenges.

• Engage with trauma injury patients by actively listening to their concerns, diagnosing mental or emotional disorders, and collaboratively developing coping strategies.

• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to meet evolving needs and achieve optimal outcomes.

• Educate patients and their families about effective coping mechanisms for stress and trauma to enhance their understanding and participation in the healing process.

• Coordinate with social services, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to connect patients with essential resources for their recovery journey.

• Stay informed and engaged with the latest research and best practices in mental health counseling through continuing education courses, maintaining your National Certified Counselor certification.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with patients who have sustained trauma injuries, which can lead to various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Your work will directly contribute to patient recovery and overall quality of life, as you assist them in addressing the psychological impacts of their physical injuries.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential is essential.

• A minimum of three years of professional experience working with trauma patients.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is highly advantageous.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
