Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients referred by physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing and monitoring therapeutic interventions across various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Delivering high-quality patient care by utilizing evidence-based practices, therapeutic modalities, and manual therapy techniques.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of patient progress and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
• Providing education to patients and their caregivers regarding home exercise programs and self-management strategies.
• Engaging in outreach efforts and community programs to promote health and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, ranging from children to seniors, dealing with various conditions such as sports injuries, post-operative recovery, chronic pain, and neurological disorders. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New York.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to patients and team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
