Accounts Payable Specialist

Role Description

In this role, you will be responsible for aspects related to Accounts Payable, including monitoring of email boxes, entering of AP vouchers for payment, and assisting Accounting Manager and Director of Finance as needed.

• Enter payment requests for processing in ERP system
• Ability to manipulate information and place content into an Adobe Acrobat PDF file
• Maintain/Scan all records, files, and backup documentation for outgoing payments
• Allocate vendor invoices to correct cost centers and/or WBS job #’s
• Research inquiries for vendor invoices/payments
• Distribute vendor payments via secure email methods
• Meet daily, weekly, and month end deadlines
• Support Director, Finance, and Accounting Manager, AP on special projects where needed

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting preferred
• Prior experience in AP is required
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent math and accounting skills with the ability to analyze numbers and resolve discrepancies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal employees
• Ability to work independently, exercising discretion and judgement
• SAP experience is preferred
• Travel industry experience is a plus
