Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing standardized tools to evaluate their emotional and psychological needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play therapy.

• Provide individual and family therapy sessions aimed at treating various disorders like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to enhance communication and understanding among family members, promoting a supportive home environment.

• Actively collaborate with child psychiatrists and other clinical staff to ensure cohesive care, sharing insights and strategies that support the holistic treatment of each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention services, responding promptly to mental health emergencies with appropriate support and referral resources.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available community resources to help them navigate their treatment journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards, integrating thoroughly with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position is focused on children and adolescents, typically ranging from ages 5 to 18, who present with a variety of mental health issues. You will work closely with young patients struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. Your role will involve not just treating the individual, but also supporting their families through education and family dynamics interventions. Your expertise will empower young clients to develop coping strategies, resilience, and emotional regulation skills.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of Texas as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, ideally in a child and adolescent mental health setting.

• Thorough understanding of child and adolescent psychological disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate approach to therapy.

• Proven ability to build rapport and trust with young clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
