Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students’ mental health needs, utilizing tools such as clinical interviews, standardized tests, and observational assessments.

• Develop tailored, evidence-based treatment plans that address the unique mental health challenges faced by each student, ensuring that the solutions are culturally sensitive and effective.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play therapy for children and adolescents.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with teachers, parents, and school staff to foster a comprehensive support system for students' mental health and well-being.

• Be prepared to respond to crises by providing immediate support and intervention to students experiencing acute distress, ensuring a safe and reassuring environment.

• Participate in community outreach initiatives designed to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage families to seek support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral concerns. By using cultural competence and trauma-informed care, you will ensure that all clients feel understood and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

• A valid, independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.

• Possession of a master’s degree or doctoral degree in relevant fields such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
\n
• Proven ability to establish rapport and therapeutic relationships with clients, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Adept at cultural sensitivity and able to communicate effectively with clients from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Exemplary organizational and time-management skills to manage caseloads and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a school setting or working with children and adolescents in therapeutic contexts is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) software for documentation and case management.

• Experience in community engagement efforts related to mental health awareness and education.

Compensation and Benefits\n
