Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of students and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans tailored to promote their mental well-being.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to address a variety of mental health issues.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups aimed at addressing common concerns among students, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

• Work closely with school counselors, psychologists, and other educational staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive mental health support for students.

• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, offering immediate support and guidance to students in need.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available local resources to support their ongoing well-being.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves a diverse student population within school settings in Ronkonkoma, New York. As a mental health therapist, you will engage with individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring that you can address their unique needs through culturally sensitive and individualized care.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• A solid grounding in mental health disorders and therapeutic approaches, with a keen ability to assess and treat diverse patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits\n
