Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify mental health needs, crafting detailed treatment plans tailored to individual clients.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, families, and groups, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Work closely with school staff, including case managers and educators, to coordinate care effectively and respond to the unique challenges presented by the educational environment.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for students experiencing acute psychological disturbances, ensuring a safe and timely response to emergencies.

• Engage in community outreach and educational workshops that promote mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging help-seeking behaviors among students and families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students from diverse backgrounds, many of whom may face multiple societal stressors, including economic challenges, cultural transitions, and trauma exposure. You will be instrumental in providing culturally sensitive care that recognizes and respects the individuality of each student, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and foster therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Strong organizational and documentation capabilities to manage caseloads effectively in a fast-paced environment.
