Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices that highlight a solution-focused approach.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to assist clients in navigating their mental health journeys.

• Maintain meticulous clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and uphold our professional standards.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, engaging in case consultations and peer review meetings to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health disorders and available resources, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding treatment and support.

• Stay informed of current research trends in mental health to incorporate new insights and methodologies into therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population of students, addressing various mental health challenges that may arise in an academic setting. You will engage with children and adolescents experiencing stress, emotional dysregulation, and other mental health issues, while providing support to their families to develop effective coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• An active license to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in solution-focused psychotherapy with a keen understanding of individual client needs and creating personalized treatment strategies.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills capable of building strong rapport with clients and families.
\n
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to navigate complex emotional situations and guide clients toward positive resolutions.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 3 years of experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within a school or youth-oriented setting.

• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and other digital communication tools to facilitate remote therapy sessions effectively.
