Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through interviews, standardized assessments, and clinical observations.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on the clients’ unique needs and therapeutic goals, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing clients with tools and strategies to manage their mental health challenges effectively.

• Regularly monitor clients’ progress, adjusting therapy approaches as necessary to enhance efficacy and meet evolving needs.

• Provide referrals to additional providers, such as psychiatrists or support groups, when indicated to ensure comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure continuity of care and adherence to legal requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our Mental Health Counselors work with a diverse population, addressing a variety of mental health issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and eating disorders. The clients you will serve come from various backgrounds and experiences, requiring sensitivity, cultural competence, and adaptability to effectively support their unique therapeutic journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as a LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling setting.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and a commitment to using evidence-based practices.

• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
