Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and develop personalized treatment plans that align with medical recommendations.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to assist patients in achieving functional independence, focusing on orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine specialties.
• Provide skilled therapeutic care, utilizing evidence-based techniques and methodologies to promote recovery and improve physical function.
• Consult with patients and their families, communicating clearly about treatment protocols, expected outcomes, and progress assessments.
• Monitor and document patient progress through detailed notes and reports, contributing to collaborative care efforts with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain high standards of customer service while meeting organizational goals for patient utilization and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse clientele, ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly patients in need of rehabilitation from orthopedic surgeries or neurological conditions. Emphasizing individualized care, you will address each patient's unique needs and assist them in overcoming challenges to restore their mobility and functional independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as a physical therapist in Florida.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients and team members.
• Good working knowledge of computer systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant experience in various therapy settings, providing a well-rounded background in patient rehabilitation.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during treatment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
