We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to support our growing operations, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role. Position Overview This role will focus heavily on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions , working closely with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial operations. Key Responsibilities Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable processes Process vendor invoices, ensure proper coding, and issue timely payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Process weekly payroll and timecards using ADP Handle daily bank deposits and reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close Support the Controller with reporting and additional accounting tasks Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience (retail or similar industry a plus) Strong proficiency in: Microsoft Excel Outlook Accounting software systems High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and meet deadlines What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $25–$35/hour (based on experience) Union position with: Full medical benefits Pension plan Opportunity to grow into a full-time, long-term role Stable, team-oriented work environment Why Join Vicente Foods?
