Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position within our bustling hospital setting in Anaheim, California. You will be embedded in a multidisciplinary team that works harmoniously to facilitate our patients' rehabilitation journeys. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, ensuring protocols are followed to maximize patient recovery.
• Instruct patients on therapeutic exercises, helping them to safely navigate activities such as strength training, mobility exercises, and functional movements tailored to their recovery needs.
• Administer treatment modalities, including ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation, and manual therapy techniques, to enhance the recovery process.
• Closely monitor patient progress, prepare detailed documentation, and effectively communicate any relevant updates to the supervising Physical Therapist for ongoing modifications to the treatment plan.
• Empower patients by educating them on home exercise regimens and lifestyle adjustments that support sustained recovery and prevent re-injury.
• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations while maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date patient records within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team to deliver coordinated, patient-centric care that addresses both physical and emotional aspects of recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on outpatient orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation post-injury or surgery, including sports injuries, post-operative. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of patients, from high-performance athletes to seniors recovering from surgeries, ensuring personalized care strategies that respect their unique recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in California, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field, signifying a strong foundational knowledge of human anatomy, movement science, and therapeutic practices.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably within outpatient orthopedic environments, allowing for a smooth integration into our team culture and workflows.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting and supervising therapeutic exercises and applying various treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish rapport with patients and work effectively within a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is an asset, aiding in efficient patient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with outpatient orthopedic patients is highly preferred; however, new graduates with relevant clinical rotation experience are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of community resources and rehabilitation programs that support post-discharge patient care.
• Understanding of telehealth methodologies and technology platforms could be beneficial in delivering care to patients who prefer or require remote services.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is competitive, with a yearly salary between $75,000 to $85,000, supplemented by an attractive benefits package, including:
