Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our fully equipped rehabilitation facility in Fullerton, a centrally located area that boasts a collaborative and invigorating atmosphere. The rehabilitation facility is designed to foster teamwork and innovation, bringing together a supportive group of professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). With a focus on comprehensive patient care, we encourage open communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement in therapeutic practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively assess and identify each patient's unique goals and treatment needs during initial consultations.
• Manage a patient caseload, providing tailored 1-on-1 treatment sessions emphasizing orthopedic conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy and exercise protocols.
• Conduct regular evaluations of patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Educate and motivate patients to take active roles in their rehabilitation, fostering a sense of empowerment and responsibility towards their health.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment services in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, specifically utilizing WebPT software.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach for holistic patient management.
• Introduce evidence-based interventions that aim to reduce reliance on medications and avoid unnecessary surgical procedures.
• Encourage and guide patients in adopting healthier lifestyles through fitness and wellness programming.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients who experience orthopedic issues, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. A deep understanding of orthopedic principles is essential for effectively evaluating and treating patients from diverse backgrounds and ages. Your role will significantly impact their ability to regain mobility and independence, enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist, with an impeccable professional record.
• Strong proficiency in hands-on manual therapy techniques and a comprehensive understanding of orthopedic practices.
• Exceptional ability to develop exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

While all forms of physical therapy practice are valuable, we prefer candidates with specific experience in orthopedic outpatient settings. Familiarity with treatment for sports-related injuries and post-operative rehabilitation will be advantageous. Strong communication skills and an empathetic demeanor are vital for fostering patient trust and rapport.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
