Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customized rehabilitation plans for patients with orthopedic conditions, ensuring alignment with physician directives and best practice standards.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical function through diagnostic assessments, tailored to identify their strengths and rehabilitation needs.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants to guarantee the effective execution of treatment protocols and to uphold the highest standards of patient care.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on observed outcomes and patient feedback.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and the use of assistive devices, fostering independence and self-management.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with state regulations and company policies.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, barriers to recovery, and required adjustments to care plans.
• Evaluate and recommend adjustments to prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with medical professionals to ensure effective integration into patient treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient population will primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will be tasked with addressing complex needs across various age groups, ensuring each patient receives personalized interventions aimed at optimizing their recovery. The collaborative approach with other healthcare professionals will help enhance treatment efficacy, fostering a supportive recovery experience that integrates both physical rehabilitation and emotional encouragement.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a physical therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required, with experience in an outpatient setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients and coordinate with team members.
• Ability to assess and adapt therapeutic techniques according to individual patient responses and progress.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for accurate and efficient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
