Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments for patients to understand their unique backgrounds and address their specific needs.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate for individual patient circumstances.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing diverse mental health concerns, fostering resilience, and promoting overall well-being.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.
• Offer crisis intervention services and immediate support during mental health emergencies, utilizing your training to stabilize and comfort clients.
• Educate patients and their families about their mental health conditions, exploring treatment options, and linking them to community resources when needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Engage actively in team meetings, participate in professional development sessions, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with current research, best practices, and relevant cultural considerations that enhance the efficacy of our therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Atrium Counseling Services, you will work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly focusing on ethnic and cultural minorities, the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrant populations. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active and valid license as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• A proven understanding of various mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and the importance of cultural competence in therapy.
• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy sessions, employing culturally responsive methodologies.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm and collected in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport with individuals from varied backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
• A commitment to maintaining ethical guidelines and professional boundaries while ensuring confidentiality.
• A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in outpatient mental health settings, ideally with a diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and strategies for supporting individuals with a history of trauma.
• Involvement in community outreach or programs aimed at increasing mental health awareness in underrepresented populations.

Compensation and Benefits
