This full-time position allows you to work remotely while becoming an integral part of a dynamic, innovative team specializing in delivering mental health services. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and a work-life balance while serving patients who need support in weight management and mental health. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, ideally around 36 hours per week, though we are open to considering 32-hour work arrangements. You will utilize EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) software to maintain accurate patient records, ensuring seamless communication and documentation within our healthcare team. Importantly, there are no on-call duties associated with this role, allowing for focused, uninterrupted patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health, particularly focusing on the psychological factors linked to obesity and binge eating practices.

• Utilize standardized assessment tools to evaluate mental health conditions, leading to tailored treatment strategies.

• Provide individualized counseling sessions to support patients in addressing the emotional and behavioral issues impacting their weight management efforts.

• Develop customized treatment plans that reflect patients’ unique needs, aspirations, and challenges.

• Educate patients about the psychological dimensions of weight management, including body image, self-esteem issues, stress management, and effective coping techniques.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness, to facilitate sustainable behavioral changes.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions for weight management, fostering an environment for peer support and shared learning.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, dietitians, and physical therapists, to provide holistic care addressing both psychological and physical health.

• Regularly assess and document patient progress towards their mental well-being and weight management goals.

• Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in mental health counseling and weight management.

This role is primarily focused on patients dealing with obesity and eating disorders, where you will engage with individuals seeking to understand and alter the emotional and behavioral patterns impacting their food choices and overall wellbeing. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field is required.

• An unrestricted LMHC license to practice in the State of Washington.

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or transport up to 15 lbs.

• Specific visual abilities, including close vision and depth perception, are required for effective patient assessments and documentation.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience.
