Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a trusting rapport with patients to foster a supportive therapeutic relationship.
• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and develop effective, individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Facilitate counseling sessions for individuals and couples, employing various therapeutic modalities to enhance client engagement and progress.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer clients to specialists when additional support is required.
• Provide ongoing education and resources to clients to help them manage their mental health effectively.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and case reviews to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families who present with various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and substance abuse disorders. You will apply your specialized training and therapeutic skills to support patients in navigating their unique mental health journeys and achieving their personal goals.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington state.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in therapeutic and counseling techniques, combined with the ability to motivate clients through tailored interventions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience or specialized training in addiction counseling and treatment for substance use disorders.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices pertaining to co-occurring disorders and mental health treatments.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting, providing therapy to individuals and families.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, El Paso Behavioral Center offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
