Key Responsibilities

The role of a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Dayspring involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at promoting mental health and well-being among clients. You will:

• Conduct comprehensive clinical intakes and psychotherapy sessions tailored to diverse client needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state requirements.
• Ensure all practices adhere to licensing standards, including maintaining licensure and professional liability insurance coverage.
• Participate in weekly supervision sessions and quarterly staff meetings to collaborate and enhance clinical skills.
• Engage in continuous improvement by communicating effectively with support staff to streamline business workflows.
• Contribute positively to team morale and be an active participant in nurturing a supportive work culture.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele ranging in age from 9 years old to adulthood. Our counselors employ therapeutic techniques aimed at treating a wide array of mental health issues, using both preventative and intervention strategies. This position allows you to focus on providing personalized care that aligns with the specific needs of each client.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in a relevant field such as Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in accordance with state regulations.
• Ability to maintain adequate Professional Liability Insurance coverage.
• Proficiency in operating office technology and remote counseling tools.
• Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and resilience to support clients dealing with complex mental health challenges.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling is required, candidates with additional experience in community mental health settings are preferred. We are particularly interested in counselors with skills in addressing crises, providing therapy to adolescents, and employing evidence-based therapeutic frameworks.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $105,000 per year, reflecting the level of experience and the extent of clinical responsibilities.
