Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments to evaluate the mental health and emotional well-being of patients, particularly focusing on those impacted by cancer.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, incorporating both traditional therapeutic methodologies and alternative approaches, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Provide a blend of in-person and virtual counseling sessions to individuals, couples, families, or groups, fostering a safe space for open communication.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapted for clients' unique circumstances.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in mental health treatment to enrich your counseling practice and provide the best possible care.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of client interactions and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care, reinforcing connections between mental and physical health resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role requires a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges faced by individuals dealing with a cancer diagnosis, including coping with treatment, recurrence, and survivorship. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Current and valid State Licenses are required (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW).
• Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of sharing information succinctly and listening actively to clients’ needs.
• A clean professional record with no history of medical malpractice claims, verifiable by third-party verification.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with oncology patients or similar populations is preferred, providing direct insights into the complexities of cancer care.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies is advantageous, enhancing your remote counseling abilities.

Compensation and Benefits
