Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Mental Health Counselor include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting supervision sessions in collaboration with the site supervisor to ensure adherence to best practices and professional development.
• Participating in staff meetings and clinical consultations to discuss treatment plans, progress, and client needs.
• Identifying and leveraging agency resources and services to enhance the support provided to clients.
• Completing agency orientation to familiarize with policies, procedures, and the overall organizational culture.
• Preparing for client sessions by reviewing case notes and conducting necessary research and evaluations specific to client situations.
• Engaging in small group supervision, participating in seminar preparations, and reviewing relevant video materials and research.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records in both written and electronic formats, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards.
• Coordinating with partner agencies to facilitate additional services and referrals, ensuring holistic care for clients.
• Researching and applying best practices for various assignments and projects as determined by the supervisor.
• Conducting client consultations, collaborating effectively with other professionals in the agency to deliver comprehensive mental health support.
• Writing detailed case notes, client assessments, and evaluations to track client progress and inform treatment strategies.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) tailored to client needs.
• Supporting therapists in scoring, interpreting, and reporting Psychometric assessments critically impacting care planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with individuals coping with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our focus is on fostering resilience and providing therapeutic strategies to help clients achieve their goals. The counselor will engage with a diverse client base, ensuring culturally competent care that respects individual backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as an LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW in compliance with state regulations.
• A proven track record of strong clinical skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clients.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.
• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified through a third-party background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in community mental health settings, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), and training in cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT) or other evidence-based modalities will be advantageous. Compensation and Benefits
