Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health evaluations and assessments that provide a foundation for personalized care.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs of clients, including those from diverse backgrounds.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches and therapeutic modalities that suit varying client needs.

• Continuously monitor client progress through regular check-ins and modifications to treatment plans to ensure effective recovery.

• Collaborate effectively with a range of health care providers, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians, to deliver integrated care.

• Assist in managing referrals and coordinate follow-ups for clients requiring additional specialist services.

• Identify and address barriers that can interfere with recovery, and actively work with clients and their families to develop strategies for overcoming these obstacles.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will encompass working with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will be expected to create a safe space that encourages open dialogue and fosters a strong therapeutic alliance, supporting clients in their journey toward improved mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois is required.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is mandatory.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records, with experience using AVATAR being a plus.

• Strong written and verbal communication competencies, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.

• A sincere commitment to delivering high-quality mental health care while keeping abreast of current best practices in the field.

Preferred Experience\n

• A background in working with clients experiencing co-occurring disorders, including mental health and substance abuse issues.

• Familiarity with the guidelines and best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Prior experience in outpatient settings with a focus on developing and facilitating treatment plans and progress monitoring.

• Understanding the pharmacological aspects of mental health treatments, including common medications prescribed by healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
