Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments for students referred for counseling, evaluating their strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and capacities while ensuring that all intake documentation is complete and accurate.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and solution-focused techniques, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving specific goals agreed upon with the students and their families.

• Provide both individual and family counseling sessions, addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by students, and facilitating familial engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Offer vocational and experiential counseling to prepare students for transitional stages or life changes, aiding in personal and academic development.

• Collaborate with school personnel, community resources, and referral sources to coordinate comprehensive services for students, ensuring a wraparound approach to support that addresses educational and emotional needs.

• Conduct crisis intervention as necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of students while maintaining thorough documentation and follow-up on intervention outcomes.

• Maintain regular communication with families, offering over-the-phone support as needed, to ensure consistent and ongoing engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Regularly participate in case team meetings, contributing valuable insights regarding student progress and treatment adaptations as necessary.

• Maintain all required state licensure and certification, ensuring compliance with ethical and professional standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is working with children and adolescents in a school setting. The candidate will support students experiencing a range of social-emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and adjustment disorders. Qualifications\n

• Must hold a current California License as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n
