Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostics using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to evaluate patients' mental health status and formulate an individualized care plan that respects cultural diversity and meets specific needs.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adapting interventions based on real-time feedback to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Utilize advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to prepare and maintain timely, accurate treatment records in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards.

• Collaborate closely with students, their families, and school personnel to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that provides clear goals and benchmarks.

• Engage in proactive risk management by anticipating potential safety issues and employing effective interventions that prioritize patient well-being and symptom management.

• Coordinate referrals and network with external agencies to ensure a seamless continuum of care for patients.

• Contribute to the professional development of interns and other team members through mentoring, education, and collaborative peer reviews.

• Participate in team discussions aimed at improving clinical practices and fostering a positive, supportive working environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families who are navigating the psychological impact of cancer. This includes providing counseling and support to children and adolescents in a school setting, understanding the unique challenges posed by cancer diagnoses, and enabling families to effectively cope with their realities.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working within a school environment and familiarity with pediatric mental health is preferred but not mandatory. Additional training in trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions relevant to oncology patients will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
