Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients, tailoring interventions to meet their unique mental health needs.

• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices, while fostering a supportive and non-judgmental space for healing.

• Prepare and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including treatment notes and progress reports in compliance with state regulations and clinic policies.

• Consult with institutional staff members, including screening committees and psychiatric teams, regarding the mental health diagnoses and treatment plans for designated individuals.

• Actively participate in regular team meetings, in-service training sessions, and continuing education opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

• Engage in crisis intervention by assessing risk factors, applying de-escalation techniques, and directing clients to appropriate emergency resources when necessary.

• Join initiatives focused on quality improvement and client feedback to continually enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Counselor will primarily work with diverse populations facing various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. Many clients may have experienced significant life stressors and may be navigating complex socio-economic circumstances. Your role will involve building trusting therapeutic alliances, promoting resilience, and guiding clients towards achieving their recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC, with a thorough understanding of current licensure requirements and supervision guidelines.

• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in providing mental health services, particularly in crisis management and therapeutic interventions.

• Solid understanding of mental health counseling methods, including group and individual psychotherapy and psychological assessment techniques.

• Familiarity with legal and ethical guidelines in the field of mental health care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a community clinic or similar setting.

• Experience with teletherapy and an understanding of the tools and platforms used to deliver remote mental health services.
