Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial interviews to assess and document clients' mental health needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their background and challenges.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional conditions, employing standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.
\n
• Develop effective intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and specialized groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and inclusive environment that fosters openness and emotional expression.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on observed outcomes and feedback.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes mental health specialists, primary care physicians, and social workers to create cohesive intervention strategies.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers regarding client care for those requiring hospitalization.
\n
• Identify behaviors that might impede recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these hurdles.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, significantly contributing to a holistic support system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse patient population, addressing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Your empathy and skill in communicating with individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds will be essential in providing effective support. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology, from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for efficient case management and documentation.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of common physical health conditions, emotional disorders, and addiction issues, integrating this knowledge into your therapeutic approach.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and compassionate interactions with clients and colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
