This position is fully remote, allowing you to manage your work-life balance effectively while connecting with clients across various locations. Our telehealth platform utilizes advanced electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to streamline documentation and monitoring of client health progress. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through preliminary interviews, thoroughly documenting each client’s journey from assessment to completion of treatment.
\n
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, identifying areas that require immediate intervention.
\n
• Design tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, and families, ensuring they address specific needs and goals.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to foster growth and recovery.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients' progress to make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, ensuring continual alignment with their mental health goals.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including medical doctors and social workers, to develop integrated intervention strategies.
\n
• Make follow-up calls to psychiatrists and other attending physicians concerning clients receiving hospitalization, ensuring comprehensive care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers and behaviors that may impede recovery, proactively working with clients and their families to mitigate these challenges.

• Support family members and caregivers in managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will cater to a diverse client population facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. By leveraging your clinical expertise, you will foster an inclusive and compassionate environment, encouraging clients to express their feelings openly and work toward meaningful change.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A valid passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience working in a mental health counseling capacity.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Understanding of physical health conditions and co-occurring addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, paired with exceptional interpersonal skills.
\n
• A compassionate approach and a strong commitment to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior telehealth counseling experience is highly desirable, with a positive track record in remote client engagement.

• Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions and workshops.
\n
• Knowledge of medication management and the effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals.
