Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, utilizing structured interviews and assessment tools to document client progress from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of therapy.

• Analyze clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform the development of customized intervention strategies.
\n
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and culturally sensitive.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's needs.
\n
• Continuously monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective and responsive care.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and enhance client outcomes.
\n
• Conduct follow-ups with medical professionals for clients who may require hospitalization, providing comprehensive care continuity.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventative strategies to address and mitigate these challenges.
\n
• Offer guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, assisting them in navigating mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Growth and Grace, your work will primarily focus on serving a varied client population, which may include individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, thought disorders, and co-occurring conditions. You will provide compassionate support to clients within the context of their unique life circumstances, with an aim to empower them towards recovery and improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in diverse settings.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, ensuring accurate documentation and client management.
\n
• Experience addressing a range of physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices for clinical interventions.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions with a focus on outcome tracking.

• Knowledge of current therapeutic modalities and techniques for clients struggling with various behavioral issues.
\n
• Ability to apply case management principles to ensure comprehensive, longitudinal care for clients.

• Understanding of medication effects and their implications for mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
