Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments using standardized screening tools, interviews, and observations to evaluate the psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, family input, and developmental considerations.

• Provide therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, focusing on developing coping strategies and enhancing resilience in young clients.

• Engage in crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely support for patients and their families.

• Educate families about mental health issues and treatment options, empowering them to support their children’s needs effectively.

• Maintain detailed, confidential documentation adhering to ethical guidelines and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case discussions, and continuous training to remain informed on the latest research and advancements in child mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. Our practice emphasizes a collaborative approach, recognizing the critical role families play in the therapeutic process. You will work closely with parents and caregivers to create strategies that promote healthy family dynamics and foster a nurturing environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster a compassionate and child-centered therapeutic relationship.

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and related computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly working with children and adolescents.

• Prior experience in a telehealth setting is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
