Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive assessments for new patients and their families, identifying strengths and needs.

• Provide individual and family therapy sessions based on the assessment findings and the goals outlined in the patient’s treatment plan.

• Complete necessary documentation, including billing, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, ensuring compliance with all deadlines.
\n
• Develop crisis plans, safety plans, and relapse prevention strategies as part of an individualized approach to maintain stability in patients’ lives.
\n
• Assist in creating discharge plans to ensure a smooth transition after therapy is completed.
\n
• Abide by all current federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, to provide a safe and ethical clinical environment.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and continuing education opportunities to enhance your clinical skills.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations and organizational meetings, contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere.

• Complete all licensure requirements and mandatory training as stipulated by state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a mental health counselor will involve working with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. You will engage with individuals from various cultural backgrounds and with differing mental health issues, creating dynamic and comprehensive therapy experiences. Your work will focus on fostering resilience and recovery, as well as building meaningful therapeutic relationships to help clients navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field required for licensure.

• Current licensure as a mental health therapist in the state of Illinois (LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW).

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly utilizing evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care approaches.

Compensation and Benefits\n
