Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Illinois preferred)
• Experience working with K-8 students with varied learning challenges
• Strong collaboration skills for working with support staff, families, and administrators
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Flexible in working within resource/support or self-contained classroom settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Deliver engaging instruction and modify curriculum to accommodate a variety of learning styles
• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
• Collaborate regularly with fellow educators, therapists, and families to foster student success
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in professional development as needed and maintain best practices in special education
