Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position in Rehabilitation Center

Position Overview

Physic Rehab Services LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at our Rehabilitation Center located in Somerset, New Jersey. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic orthopedic outpatient practice. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and treating patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions, from sports injuries to post-surgical rehabilitations.

Work Environment

The rehabilitation center offers a supportive and positive environment conducive to both patient and staff growth. Working onsite, you will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities designed for a wide array of therapeutic interventions. Our practice operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while prioritizing patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, developing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training that aim to improve mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Educate patients regarding injury prevention strategies, optimal movement mechanics, and instruct them on home exercise programs to enhance recovery efforts.
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, allowing for real-time adjustments to treatment plans and ensuring quality of care.
• Collaborate with orthopedic physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for our patients.
• Stay informed and up-to-date on advancements and best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation and physical therapy to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center serves a diverse population of patients experiencing various orthopedic issues, including but not limited to sports-related injuries, pre-and post-operative conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. Our holistic approach ensures that we address not only the physical but also emotional and psychological aspects of recovery, empowering our patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is essential, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical for effectively interacting with patients and collaborating with team members.
• The candidate should be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and also thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy is vital to fostering trust and understanding with our clients.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical or outpatient experience working as a physical therapist is necessary.
• Previous experience in a similar orthopedic setting will be considered an asset.
• Experience using EMR systems for documentation and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package includes a competitive salary, ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
