Position Type: 1 year temp-hire Opportunity

Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Schedule: 4-5 days per week, including Saturday and Sunday requirements

Final schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview process.

Position Overview

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a notable medical technology organization known for developing innovative healthcare solutions and advancing patient care through cutting-edge research and laboratory operations.

We are seeking an Animal Care Technician to support daily animal care and laboratory operations within a regulated research environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in animal husbandry, veterinary support, laboratory environments, or research settings who are passionate about maintaining high standards of animal welfare and scientific excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily animal care activities, maintaining clean and organized housing environments, documenting observations, following established procedures, and supporting veterinary and research teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily animal care and husbandry activities while following established procedures and safety guidelines.

• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized animal housing areas.

• Clean and disinfect animal housing areas, including walls, flooring, and feeding areas, according to scheduled requirements.

• Provide daily animal enrichment activities, including exercise, toys, and appropriate social housing.

• Feed animals according to established department procedures.

• Monitor animal health and immediately communicate concerns or changes in health status to Veterinary Staff.

• Maintain accurate animal records, documentation, and required forms following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

• Receive and organize department deliveries and supplies.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout laboratory and animal care areas.

• Communicate facility maintenance needs or safety concerns to management.

• Support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians with assigned activities as needed.

Important: This position requires weekend availability as animal care activities are performed every day of the week.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

• Ability to perform routine animal care activities, including cleaning, feeding, standing, bending, and reaching.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in animal care, veterinary support, laboratory, research, agriculture, kennel, or related environments.

• Experience working in a regulated or procedure-driven environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established protocols.

Certification as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) is not required.

• Regulated laboratory and animal care setting.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.50 per hour
